The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
To lead a team of Process specialists, engaging with all internal and external customers, enabling and controlling the delivery of the required service levels and meeting financial objectives. Leads a team of approximately 10 staff.

Key Responsibilities and duties:
• Significant fee earning role with responsibility for personal utilisation targets (typically above 65% to contract).
• Accountable for volume and EBIT performance for area of responsibility in accordance with stated financial objectives
• Significant contribution in supporting the business strategy and developing new process engineering based products.
• Leading role in providing process input into bids
• Resource management of process function within Integrated Engineering
• Cooperation with other Solution Groups to ensure effective process resource utilisation across Engineering Services
• Supports Business Development to win work at target fee rates for self and others
• Leads assignments and manages fee rate and utilisation to deliver agreed contribution
• Recognised as a leading practitioner in the process engineering function
• Supervises and approves assignment tasks carried out by other process engineering specialists
• Forms and leads teams to deliver assignments
• Coaches and develops Engineers within the Team.
• Develops beneficial relationships with external organisations eg professional bodies
• Able to make contacts at senior level (eg Site Manager, Technical Director) in client organisations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Min 5 Years as a Senior Engineer or Equivalent
• Degree qualified and Chartered Engineer
• Experience of leading and developing teams
• Broad knowledge and experience of full range of process engineering activities in relation to all stages of engineering projects
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of pressure relief required, specifically related to the oil and gas industry
• Preparation of proposals including preparing resource estimates and providing financial models
• Identifying client needs and gaining commitment to proposal
• Building and managing client relationships
• Well developed negotiation skills
• Assignment management and managing the contract

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Likely to have experience of commercial and contract management responsibilities and hence be accountable for contract performance (WIP, margin etc)
• Broad knowledge of process industry sectors and prospective clients
• Overseas experience
• Experience of delivering technical courses
• Accomplished presenter
• Experience of product development
