The Company:

The Role:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Provide technical expertise and challenge to Operations, Projects and other E&P functions
•Ensure key engineering documentation, procedures and activities are maintained and carried out in accordance with Company Management System (CMS) and regulatory requirements
•Promote engineering best practice and apply and maintain company technical principles

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

•Provide process technical expertise to Operations, Projects and Well Construction & Maintenance groups
•Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships within departments
•Produce budgets and plans for work activities e.g. studies, manage the cost controlling process, ensuring that closure expenditure is within acceptable percentage of original budget
•Act as signatory on key documents as identified in CMS, including validation of contractors’ key deliverables and prescribed audits as necessary
•Review/audit annual scope of inspection and assessment of significant defects
•Review/audit procedures involving integrity assessment (e.g. HIPPS)
•Provide technical input on contractor and consultant selection with engineering content
•Act as contract representative for studies budget including review and auditing of the conceptual contractors
•Manage external specialist consultant/contract support, ensuring that contracts are managed efficiently and cost-effectively and that productive and positive relationships with key contractors and suppliers are established and maintained
•Participate In internal and external technical audits
•Represent Company on industry committees and specialist forums involving legislative authorities and other oil and gas operators
•Lead process-orientated development studies
•Serve as focal point with Group Technical Metiers, derogations and technical specifications
•Be guardian of master simulation models, ensuring that they are up to date
•Develop and maintain new modelling tools
•Promote best practice and use of innovative technology including maintenance of the CMS principles
•Participate in R&D initiatives focussed on company E&P UK medium/long term development needs
•FATS when requested by Operations/Projects groups
•Participate in incident investigation
•Supervise, appraise, mentor and develop proves engineering graduates
•Contract Representative for all call-off conceptual engineering contracts

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree – BSc or BEng (2.1 minimum)
Chartered Engineer
Appropriate industry experience covering design, plant operation, commissioning and project engineering
Strong knowledge of oil and gas facilities design, construction and operation
Previous offshore UKCS experience
