The Role:
The Process Technician will be working as part of a shift team. The incumbent will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the process plant, focusing on safety, health & environment, reliability and operational integrity, seeking new ways to improve equipment and systems’ performance and, ultimately, delivering the operating plan.

Specific responsibilities include:
•To operate the plant process and utilities unit safely and efficiently to manufacture quality products in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
•To fill the role of a permit checker for the Safe Work Permit system.
•To carry out plant routine logging in a timely manner and report of any abnormality.
•Promptly respond to DCS alarm and out of control values to maintain safe and reliable operation in the plant.
•Collect process samples and carry out water titration analysis in a timely manner as stipulated in the SOP.
•Carry out routine preventive tasks as per schedule and provide quality work
•Carry out plant shutdown and start-up activities safely to meet production schedules.
•Carrying out process lines or system preparation to ensure that it is properly clean and LOTO before handing over to maintenance.
•Involve in punch listing and checking activities during plant mechanical completion.
•Response to plant emergency as member of the Emergency Response team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least a Technical Education in Chemical Processing is required, ideally with some experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals. Experience of MASTER BATCH PRODUCTION would be advantageous. Of equal importance will be a sound, ‘can-do’, team-building ethic and attitude, coupled with a desire to succeed and to develop your technical skills and demonstrate your potential for career progression
