The Company:
Our Client is a Major Operator in the Oil & Gas sector.

The Role:
PURPOSE

Review Co-venture contracting strategy and contract award recommendations. To co-ordinate multi-discipline drilling activities and inputs throughout the full procurement cycle from the development of enquiry documents, through bid evaluation, pre-award negotiations, preparation of contracts for execution, their subsequent implementation and amendments. The key responsibilities are:-

•Review Co-venture contracting strategy and recommendations to award contracts
•Preparation of drilling services enquiry documents for all types of drilling services.
•Bid evaluation and preparing recommendations to award contracts
•Preparation of Contracts for execution
•Implementation/amendment of contracts as appropriate.
•Completion of contracts in accordance with operational requirements

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

•To review co-venture contracting strategy and recommendations to award contracts in accordance with JV accounting procedure.
•Liaise with operations and development department requesting additional information if necessary to support co-venture recommendations.
•To implement and properly follow all divisions Procurement procedures and policies.
•To manage placement of drilling and other contracts with changing operational priorities
•To prepare invitation to tender documentation packages in accordance with Compliance templates.
•To commercially evaluate bids and co-ordinate the technical evaluations of tenders. Asses the impact of contract exceptions in order to produce recommendation for award of contract, in accordance with agreed time schedules.
•To negotiate terms and conditions and determine the extent of risks and liabilities that may be involved and concisely describe such risks to assist in management decisions.
•To hold technical and commercial clarification meetings with tenderers.
•To prepare recommendations for award of contracts for Management/Partner approval.
•To participate in meetings with contractors to discuss and resolve areas of disagreement.
•To ensure compliance with company and legislative procedures and required directives throughout all activities.
•To prepare and issue as required various status reports and requests for information's relating to procurement activities.
• To ensure full adherence to the company's health, safety and environment policies, procedures and standards and ensure HSE requirements are included in contracts.
•To file all the above transactional documentation promptly and in an orderly manner in preparation for audit.
•To implement any other reasonable request from the procurement Co-ordinator.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Preferable to have knowledge of Wells Engineering (Drilling and Completions) procurement in the Oil & Gas industry with substantive exposure to all well engineering services and issues within the associated supply chain.
•Demonstrable experience in formulation and negotiation of contracts and complete understanding of the legal and commercial issues associated with contracts.
•Proven experience in contract negotiation with a detailed understanding of contractual terms, risks and benefits is paramount.
