The Company:
Our Client, a major international owner/operating company, seeks expertise in Alberta.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The selected Procurement Analyst will be responsible to work to provide procurement support in accordance with the governing documents and processes of the company.

The categories this position will be responsible for, may include:
Intellectual services
Consulting and contracting services
Information technology


The primary focus of this position will be to take the lead in the identification of business opportunities, the development of strategies for such, market analysis, and execution of framework agreements complete with development of KPIs and contract monitoring for performance.


Responsibilities:

Strategic sourcing, analysis and recommendation for category specific requirements on behalf of internal business partners

Development of procurement and contracting strategies for assigned categories as well as the implementation of those procurement strategies into action plans and execute

Contract negotiations, award formation and execution

Single/sole source recommendations as required

Development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI)s and supplier performance management

Perform spend analysis for appointed categories

Create purchase orders from purchase requisitions and manage the daily workflow

Perform SCM in accordance with relevant company procedures and policies to ensure compliance

Coaching and mentoring colleagues

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications Post-secondary education

Minimum 5 years’ experience

Experience in dealing with service and consultancy contracts as well as purchase of goods/materials
Excellent customer relations skills (with internal and external customers)

Work experience supporting business units

Working knowledge of Canadian business law

Working experience with strategic sourcing
Strong experience negotiating contracts and agreements

SAP experience or equivalent ERP system experience, an asset
