The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

The Role:
Provide SAP guidance to internal customers, including SAP training as required.
Registration and maintenance of Contracts in Hardcopy, and Databases (including filing and scanning)
Ensure system updates
Maintenance of requirements and updates in SAP
Creation of Service Purchase Order’s as directed by the Procurement Group
Provide general administrative support to Procurement department
Problem solving all systems
Develop potential for Procurement Card administration
Role model for company core values and behavioural expectations
Determine the principles of continuous improvement and teamwork to resolve internal and inter-departmental problems, analysing the cause and consequence.
Supportive of encouraging team work within the department.
Be a valuable team member of the Procurement and Operations team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Level or equivalent
Proven level of competence
Knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Contracts’ databases) preferably within the oil and gas industry
Demonstrate effective interpersonal, and communication skills.
Competent in the use of the SAP programme.
In depth knowledge of the Procurement processes
Experience in the input of data
Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, etc.
Experience in the management of data
Strong understanding of business environment processes

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Proven competence in literacy / numeracy skills
Computer literate
Interpersonal and Multitasking skills
Ability and aptitude to take responsibility for personal learning and development to ensure satisfactory progression of skill level.
