The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Procurement & Contracts Manager to join the North West Office on a staff basis.

Role will be taking responsibility for the Northern Operations’ Procurement Department in the NW, NE and SW of England, plus the NE of Scotland.

Candidates must have substantial experience:
• Working in the Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas industries.
• Experience of EPC/EPCm Projects
• Must be Degree Qualified / and/or CIPS Qualifications
Experience/ job requirements:
• Formulation and implementation of Contract & Procurement Procedures and policies, input into proposals with respect to project execution including budgets and schedules, man-hour estimates, provide suitable contract & procurement personnel in support of project teams.
• Ability to work with Contract & Procurement personnel to ensure each projects Materials Management and Contracts activities are auditable, ethical and consistent with professional Procurement practices.
• Ability to work with Project Management in developing the Materials Management and Contracting plan/strategy for a project.
• Ability to work with internal and external Project and Discipline Managers in managing the resources of the Contract & Procurement Department to meet project requirements.
• Be a working manager, when necessary, on projects requiring senior level experience.
• Ability to communicate and work with other Business Unit Procurement Management in continual development of Company contract & procurement activities.
• Experienced Procurement Professional with experience of EP/EPC contracts.
• Set clear direction and expectations for the Procurement team members to ensure customer’s (both internal and external) needs are fully satisfied.
• Establish relationships with the supplier market.
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the project, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
• Key requirement is to drive to completion procurement activities to schedule targets.
• Liaise on a regular basis with Client and project based Shipping Contractors.
• Client Relationships – Maintains and builds healthy client relationships.
• Scope Management – Complies with Client’s Project Management Process and requirements of the contract. Effectively change control process application.
• Cost Control – Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.
• Quality management – Contributes to compliance with Worley Parsons policies and procedures.
• Risk Management – Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
• Degree / Chartered Member of Institute of Purchasing and Supply
• Worked as a Procurement Manager/ Project Procurement Manager on recent large international EP/ EPC Projects.
• Clearly exhibited ability to develop good working relationships/become a team player
Possess oral and written English language skills required to function effectively within a project team
