The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement and Expediting Coordinator to assist the Project Manager and Project Controls Managers in all activities related to procurement of CONTRACTOR, including expediting.
• Follow up all procurement activities including expediting and inspection, in accordance with project and company procedures, for all material (Equipments and Bulk) purchased BY contractor
• Quality Check in respect of Technical specifications, dealing with deviation requests from VENDORs
• Contract Follow-up, ensure VENDORS schedule / progress / costs as per Purchase Orders and Change Orders
• Communicate and report to Project Management Team, interface and coordinate with Technicians Team

Accountabilities

• Manage the information flow, follow-up vendor queries (received by CONTRACTOR) and ensure that responses are given.
• Interface with the different CONTRACTOR Engineer s (Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil) in order to ensure review of the Engineering document from all Vendors
• Communicate with other contractors teams for interface management.
Measure: All Engineering document are reviewed by CONTRACTOR team in the Contractual Timeframe (2 weeks), no delay due to document review, all comments are incorporated in the FINAL DOCUMENTATION
• Ensure that the schedule is met by the vendors/subcontractors, and to monitor supplier performance.
• Prepare Recovery plans when necessary if the equipments delivery date cannot be complied with
• Validate the progress of Vendors before they send their invoices
• Manage the CONTRACTUAL milestones and Variation Orders request from VENDORS and feedback Project Management Team on the relevance of those, in order for the Project Manager to reject or validate part of them.
Measure: Procurement Log developed by the Procurement Coordinator is accurate and Project Schedule reflects the Procurement Key Dates, no delays or claims on main equipment, if any they are reported at the earliest to the Project Manager to decide on Recovery Plans
• Participate in organising and coordinating meetings, with the CONTRACTORS procurement team and the VENDORS, necessary to fulfil the job responsibility (including Kick-Off Meeting, inspections when required)
Measure: Participation to EPSCC follow-up meeting, conference call with main suppliers and written feedback to the Project Manager and Work Package Managers
• Review the ITP, Monitor and Participate to the Inspections and Factory Acceptance Test if required
Measure: Formal witness of the FAT
• Participate in internal weekly and/or monthly technical meetings and provide accurate summaries of matters related to the supply chain.
• Elaborate a weekly / Monthly Progress report to the Project Management Team
Measure: Reports satisfactory to Project management, Progress figures are in line with the Project Objectives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Graduate engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all disciplines, with at least 5 years experience of purchasing and procurement supervision in oil & gas projects.
• Knowledge of Client General Specifications and international standards recommended
• Experience in Inspection and Test witnessing
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing), good communication and management skills.
