The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil, Gas and Energy Industry. This role is based in our client's project offices in London (West) and supports our clients projects in Iraq.

The Role:
Please Note: Business Trips to Iraq will be required for this role.

The Procurement and SCM Category Specialist – IT&S will take ownership of the IT category working in the business services team. This role will include sourcing and contracting for software, hardware and consultancy agreements that are needed to support the teams in both Iraq and the UK and ensuring that end users and Procurement and SCM are fully aligned and working towards agreed plans. The Procurement and SCM Category Specialist will be expected to work closely with Global IT&S and Indirect procurement to ensure alignment with master contracts, in addition supporting other indirect categories managed within the business services portfolio.

Key Role Accountabilities
• Sourcing specialist for IT&S, and other indirect categories.
• Accountability along with Category Lead in liaising with business stakeholders for allocated commodities & services.
• Development of supplier management process & relationships.
• Programme management, activity tracking & performance reporting
• Supporting local Procurement and SCM in expediting & issue resolution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified or equivalent preferred and/or 3 years relevant industry experience.
• CIPS qualified or working towards.
• Experience in sourcing IT&S (Software, Hardware, Consultancy and Licences) other indirect categories.
• Sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e-sourcing tools e.g. Ariba.
• Development of sourcing plans, both project & programme.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• Procurement expediting experience (not essential).
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Oil & Gas or Manufacturing industry experience.
• Global / Multi-national business experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office products i.e. PowerPoint, Access & Excel.
• Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints.
• Team player as well as working under own initiative.
