The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Procurement & Sourcing Manager to be based in Ghana.

Ghana residents only.

• The Procurement & Sourcing Manager is to oversee and promote all procurement sourcing activities related to the Geomarket, while proactively managing assigned procurement and sourcing team and relevant supply base. They oversee the construction of RFPs and actively participate in the negotiation process to ensure items or services are purchased from approved suppliers seeking maximum value for the company including agreed time and cost.
• Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency of all purchasing transactions while reducing total cost via active management of PFS- Procurement Sourcing Leaders
• Facilitates resolution of conflicts with suppliers over delivery and payment issues

• Develop and direct the Sourcing function in the Geomarket to ensure that high quality, cost effective suppliers are identified and selected in the most efficient manner as per client's Procurement, Sourcing and Supplier Management Policies and Procedures.
• Contributes to standardization of transaction policies and procedures
• Ensure that Sourcing Specialists work closely with the Materials Management function to source suppliers for specific needs.
• Assists in development of systems to improve supplier data and catalog management
• Demonstrates full engagement with Geomarket and Segment Managers. Conduct customer management, ensuring that Operations is receiving excellent service from Geomarket P&S Team.
• Manages the processing of all purchase orders ensuring required level of service is maintained
• Ensure all sourcing activities and RFP’s are conducted in accordance with the clients Financial & Supply Chain procedures and policies.
• Works closely with Materials Management, EMS Centers, Logistics and Finance to expedite receiving and Accounts Payable processes
• Monitor budget for assigned area for compensation spend, commodity spend, etc.
• Review spend patterns and with sourcing specialists to identify areas for cost improvements or RFP’s.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize efficiencies and achieve business results
• Develop short-term and long-range plans to accomplish goals of the department and the company. Ensure education and communication of these plans to the department staff members
• Maintain proficiency in all relevant policies and procedures, including the ability to articulate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Prepare periodic reports as agreed with management.
• Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the location or Company.

• Attract, develop, and retain talent base , timely addresses retention problems
• Uphold HSE, TCC, Code of Ethics, Gift Policy

Specific deliverables of the position:
• Develop the leadership skills of staff through coaching and counseling as well as identification of specific goals and objectives on an annual basis
• Evaluate employee potential and plan employee development
• Lead sourcing efforts, negotiations, and contracts
• Immediate reporting of non-conformances with follow up until resolved.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous management experience is a must

• Comprehensive understanding of all procurement systems, ERPs and Logistics systems in place.
• Knowledge of new technologies on Procurement to Pay (P2P)
• Strong management skills - Strong analytical understanding

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management (or comparable degree) or 5-7 years of commensurate experience with demonstrated competencies in Supplier Management

Reports to: Direct Report – Geomarket OFS Manager and Functionally to EAF Procurement & Sourcing Manager
