The Role:
• Manage submittal of third party material costs and hours on all existing and new Tenders.
• Responsible for contractual alignment between our supplier quotations and our own Tender submittals.
• Ensure accurate flowdown of quality, HSE and technical requirements to our supplier base in order to reduce our exposure on key Tenders
• Conduct regular lean process and efficiency reviews on RFQ activities
• Attend Price reviews with Senior Management to communicate key issues and potential risks.
• Analyse BOM’s (Bill of Materials) and use SAP and supplier quotations to accurately cost equipment
• Issue RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) to suppliers in line with Tender requirements.
• Manage any changes or amendments to the MEL (Master equipment List), and follow up with relevant buyer / supplier
• Create and manage a library of standard BOM’s and their associated prices so as to ensure accurate pricing is used as required
• Represent the Procurement and Vendor Management department at Tender Kick off meetings
• Interrogate SAP to help with the benchmarking of supplier prices.
• Work closely with Commodity Leads to ensure our Tendering Strategy is aligned with our overall Supply Chain Strategy.
• Provide analysis of Tendering activity to Commodity Leads for inclusion in supplier business review meetings
• Ensure that all procedures are complied with and all actions are auditable also maintaining the highest personal, professional and ethical standards.
• Expedite overdue supplier quotations and Tender responses via the relevant buyer or directly with the supplier as appropriate
• Fulfil HSE responsibilities in line with Company policy and management system.
• Be prepared to perform other duties which require essentially the same level of skill and responsibility.
Perform any other work related task as requested by the Procurement and Vendor Manager, ensuring that consistently high levels of professionalism are applied at all times
• To manage the submittal of all third party material and labour costs for each Tender and assure accuracy of those costs. Mitigate financial and contractual exposure by ensuring our requirements are accurately transmitted to our vendors, and quotation validity is aligned with Tender validity.
