The Role:
The Ariba Technician will interact with the Procurement Coordinators and Contract procurement team to ensure purchases are generated and executed to support the Procure -2-Pay (P2P) process. The Ariba Technician position is responsible for miscellaneous purchasing activity and creating purchase contracts in e-Procurement system (Ariba), expediting internal customer, and providing administrative procurement support.

The Ariba Technician responsibilities will include:

• Reports to the Project Procurement Services Lead
• Performs as a key member of the overall project procurement organization in Farnborough and interfaces with the procurement team
• Support Purchase Contract and Service order execution (including change orders and work authorizations).
• Expedite procurement transactions
• Enter, maintain and close-out purchase contract in the e-Procurement System (Ariba)
• Coordinate with project team members and the EPCM contractor to purchase miscellaneous materials purchases that maximize commercial opportunities in support of project business drivers
• Assist in documentation approvals for Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Power of Attorney (POA) and ensure compliance.
• Responsibilities also include supporting project wide safety initiatives including implementation of Incident & Injury free and Safety VIPs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of procurement and materials management execution strategies and work processes for large, major capital projects (MCP)
2. Previous purchasing experience or knowledge (preferred)
3. Knowledge of materials management strategies, processes, tools and techniques to optimize commercial and execution opportunities on MCPs.
4. Knowledge of EPC company operations and work processes
5. Excellent communicator with demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead a high performance team, be a change agent and establish credibility with senior level peers
6. Demonstrated Way Behaviour
7. CSOC focus
8. Knowledge or willingness acquire skills for materials management
9. To promote and ensure that the Health, Environment & Safety (HES), and Incident & Injury Free (IIF) guidance and culture is applied at all times.
10. Knowledge of Ariba e -Procurement system of or SCM work process and procedures.
