The Company:
Our client is a a top-performing exploration and production company for natural gas and crude oil.

The Role:
Key Objectives of the Job:
• Responsible for the production of all purchase orders and framework agreements within SAP MM for Contracts and Procurement department and other departments as required in relation to goods and services
• Promotion of SAP MM (and other linked SAP modules) through the business.

Main Responsibilities:
• Creation of Purchase Orders and Framework Agreements within SAP
• Support to non-procurement personnel in the creation of Purchase Requisitions
• Assist in the preparation and issue of invitations to tender
• Preparing purchase orders and contracts for minor to medium value services and goods
• Responsible for maintaining and reporting the weekly contracts status to Corporate Procurement
• General support to the Contracts and Procurement Manager and procurement team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge / Skills:
• SAP MM – competent and confident user - Essential
• Good communication skills, specifically written communication – English Language - Essential

Personal Qualities:
• Customer oriented - Essential
• Attention to detail - Essential
• Diligent - Essential

• 2 years + in a costs/buying role within a related industry, ie. construction - Essential
• Exploration and Production area of the UK Oil and Gas sector - Preferred

Qualifications – Academic
• A relevant degree level education – business related topics or possibly quantity surveying - Essential
