The Role:
• Provide procurement support across a range of complex goods and or services within the Marketing area.
• Stakeholder management and operating in matrix teams.
• Support sourcing strategy development and alignment of procurement activity to Business strategy.
• Take the lead in identifying and managing tender / evaluation processes through analysing data, managing suppliers etc.
• Support complex strategic sourcing projects / activity.

Category Management:
•Undertake (in conjunction with and or with the agreement of their line manager) category assessment to generate innovative opportunities and robust strategic sourcing plans. This includes the derivation and implementation of appropriate procurement, supplier management and strategic sourcing strategies, ensuring that these are in line with business objectives, regulatory requirements whilst also delivering best value.

• Stakeholders:
•Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are understood, but also constructively challenged with new ideas or opportunities based on market insight.
•Create clear and effective communication channels with stakeholders.
•Ensuring Procurement is perceived as a positive significant value adding integral partner and that we deliver on our promises.

• Know your Marketplace:
•Proactively research and understand market dynamics, regulatory framework, suppliers, technical and product information in order to ensure that the business takes advantage of all relevant developments, responds to market changes and maintains an appropriate supplier base.

• Supplier Management:
•Support Strategic Supplier Relationship Management services through collation, analysis and communication of supplier appraisals and performance monitoring, value analysis, continuous improvement, CSR, compliance and demand management. Manage designated supplier relationships (under direction).

• Deploy appropriate tools: •
•Issue and evaluate competitive tenders and proposals for the supply of goods and services.
•Identify and implement continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
•Negotiate with suppliers on all commercial and contractual matters and apply judgement as to what constitutes an acceptable level of contractual risk and supply resilience.
•Identify and implement opportunities for the appropriate use of e-sourcing techniques and e-technologies to increase commercial value and/or process efficiency. •
•Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines and comprehensively update and fully utilise systems and databases in a timely manner. •
•Draft, negotiate and obtain agreement to commercial contracts ensuring that operational and commercial risks to the business are minimised. •
•Provide analytical support and complex contract negotiation support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
