The Role:
The service holder supports the procurement Leader for all the activities related to the Contractor procurement of the SURF package equipment for the Kaombo Project, i.e. to organise, manage, follow-up and control all the related procurement tasks performed by the SURF Contractor(s).
The Service holder shall review all procurement procedures of the SURF Contractor(s) and ensure they are in accordance with KPG policy.
At the early stages of the project, the service holder shall ensure that the SURF engineering studies performed by the SURF Contractor(s) take into account procurement aspects in order to comply with, and optimize, the execution schedule.
During the procurement phase, the service holder shall closely follow the SURF Contractor(s) procurement activities in relation with Company representatives and QC inspectors located at the various vendors premises. He shall identify, raise and address any matter impacting HSE, quality or progress of the procurement activities, and shall ensure that the SURF equipments under his responsibility are procured and delivered according to the project technical requirements and schedule, and are fit for purpose.
The service holder shall ensure that procurement interfaces within the package and with other concerned packages are dully dealt with and managed.
The service holder shall, in the performance of these responsibilities, contribute to maximise the NPV value of the project by finding means to increase quality and productivity and/or decrease investments thanks to the use of procurement practices compliant with best industry practice.
The service holder shall be responsible for the reporting (HSSE, quality, progress, area of concern) related to all procurement activities to the procurement Leader with whom he shall liaise actively.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements and for ensuring that HSSE requirements are duly implemented within his area of responsibility.

To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
To be informed of Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s) related to SURF equipment in general, international norms and standards, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project.
To ensure that QHSE issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the technical documents under his responsibility.
To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
To ensure that procurement aspects are suitably addressed during Detailed Engineering by timely reviewing / validating the relevant SURF documentation issued by Contractor(s) (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests). To raise comments / highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices affecting procurement issues.
To ensure liaison with Contractor(s), through and with the help of Company representatives, with regards to SURF procurement.
To participate to the meeting with Contractor and Contractor vendors (KOM,PPM,PIM).To manage with the Quality on the schedule of the Contractor and Contractor vendors meetings
To interface actively with discipline engineers and other package engineers as necessary on all procurement matters.
For the equipment he is responsible for, to liaise with the SURF Company representatives, inspectors at the various vendors premises.
To ensure liaison between SURF Company representatives on procurement sites and the rest of the SURF CPY organization, diffusing decisions (either technical or managerial) and ensuring coherent progress and practices on all sites.
To organise and participate H3SE and QA/QC Vendors monitoring and audits as requested by TOTAL’s referential, with the help of site Company representatives (definition of key indicators, site walkabouts...).
For the equipment he is responsible for, to compile procurement progress and issues from all procurement sites and ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Procurement Leader.
In general, to anticipate problems, optimize, improve and offer solutions with regards to procurement matters.
To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): over 5 years experience on SURF Projects.
Experience in similar position (years): ± 2 Specific technical experience in recent SURF Project, preferably in deepwater projects.
Familiar with fabrication process (linepipe fabrication, forging, coating...), Quality Control and expediting.
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent.
Languages: English mandatory
