The Company:
This position will be based in Bangkok Office

The Role:
Manage all the purchasing activities. Plans and directs to ensure correctness and on-timeliness of items being purchased while working to match price and perceived value equity. Has managerial responsibilities especially between the Company and Supplier interface.

􀂃 Receives policy and guideline from the Company’s Directors.
􀂃 Exercises management expertise for procurement of raw materials, consumables, subcontracting, and other assets .
􀂃 As the point of Supplier contact.
􀂃 Represents the Company on negotiation and evaluation basis.
􀂃 Intra-company between factories and sites
􀂃 Company’s Directors
􀂃 Project Directors / Managers

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Responsible for designing and implementing best practice Purchasing process in the context of the Company
2. Develop Purchasing Quality Manual (PQM) to be approved by the Company’s Directors within 90 days period.
3. Manage all staffs in the Purchasing Department
4. Identify and implement possible technology to ease labor intensiveness
5. Coordinate with Accounting Department
6. Report of transparency and supplier’s evaluation to the Company’s Director
7. Regularly evaluate and follow according to ISO9001-20xx quality management system
8. Regularly evaluate supplier’s performance and align key strategic suppliers to establish long-term business relationship
9. Participates in the resolution of purchasing related problems such as hard-to-find items and labor supply of subcontractors including fabrication outsourcing and business process outsourcing.
10. Coordinates with the project managers and engineers to ensure timely performance sufficient to keep the overall project on schedule and within budget.
11. Identify weaknesses in staffs’ capabilities and conduct necessary training to improve competencies.
12. Recruit talented members to anticipate growth of the business

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Thorough knowledge in purchasing strategies and operations
• Leadership skills and people management
• Experiences in procurement at managerial position for over 5 years
• Communication in English

The above is normally acquired through:

o A recognized degree in related disciplines, OR
o A professional license in an appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board,
o Progressive work experience in purchasing of over 5 years at a managerial position.
