The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.
The Role:
Our client is looking for a Procurement Officer to join the Contracts and Procurement department reporting to the Procurement Manager.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
• Provide contracts engineering support to Corporate & Project on various scopes as assigned with supervision and support from the Contract Coordinator
• Responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award & execution and management and close out of contracts
• Raise Purchase Orders and resolve queries as required
• Liaise with Vendors to obtain Indemnities for work site
• Liaise with and provide information to internal and external Audit teams as required
• Ensure Contractor deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:
• Ability to work under pressure
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times
• Ensure the Company’s commitment to and compliance with safety, quality and health regimes is reflected in all Contracts
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with senior stakeholders in the business
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• SAP skills (MM module)
• Understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process
• 5+ years Contracts & Procurement experience, preferably in oil and gas industry
• Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
