The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Handle procurement and purchasing activities and assist the buyer in procuring materials and services for the client.
1. Collaborate with engineers and technicians in order to understand their needs and accurately draft corresponding material/service requests.
2. Support project managers and financial analysts in the preparation of estimates by contacting vendors for “Budgetary pricing” for equipment, material and services.
3. Coordinate interactions between the function/department/division and the supplier to resolve changes in specifications, pricing or other technical issues.
4. Prepare all documents and forms relating to specifications inquiries, purchasing, bid analysis and invoice auditing to ensure uninterrupted supplies of materials and services.
5. Work closely with buyer on problem identification and take corrective actions to ensure purchase orders are placed and delivered within a reasonable time.
6. Assist the procurement manager in administering and facilitating the bidding and contract selection process.
7. Adhere to all contract administration policies & procedures and ensure that contracts are executed in a timely and professional manner.
8. Maintain an accurate procurement log for future analysis and improvement of the purchasing activities.
9. Develop and maintain a catalogue containing reliable information of different suppliers to be used in future bidding requests.
10. Keep abreast of any changes in different supply markets in order to anticipate any price changes, material scarcity or logistics issues.
11. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• AutoCAD proficiency is preferred.
• SAP proficiency is preferred.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of SAP Procurement module, and oil industry procurement processes and procedures.
