The Company:
A Major international oil & gas operator seeks 2 Procurement Specialist with 5+ years of experience in Houma, LA.
• Must be available to work 40 hours between the work days of Monday through Saturday
• Hours of operation are 7am to 5pm – must be flexible to work within these timeframes

The Role:
• Compliance to Client’s safety and operational risk agenda, support of the OMS (Operations Management System) program.
• Provide professional procurement, expediting and requisition clarity support of materials and services for GoM Operations and Drilling activities (does not include OCTG)
• Coordinate with personnel involved in scheduling/tracking/monitoring material movements, and the use of services: to include but not limited to; logistics shore base, central functions, campaign maintenance planners/schedulers, drilling & completions, operations personnel and Houston project services.
• Generate the RFQ (request for quote) based on scope of work and requisition provided by line personnel.
• Screen for 32 series engineered materials to ensure compliance with Client’s GoM ETP (engineered technical practice) requirements.
• Support process to ensure load bearing & pressure containing equipment attains proper document (example MTRs) – materials that do not process via EPP – engineered procurement process.
• Upon thorough evaluation and communication with end user execute release to suppliers and vendors..
• Comply to all regulatory requirements internally and externally (example ACDD – anti corruption due diligence & SEMS – supplier environmental management systems)
• Resolve material discrepancies facilitating process w/ customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate material returns to suppliers to ensure timely credits
• Provide support on the resolution of invoices as related to the materials & services.
• Identify opportunities and pursue the streamlining & consolidation of the supplier & vendor base.
• Collaborate with surplus inventory programs to minimize duplicate purchases.
• Create and or contribute to initiatives that result in cost reductions opportunities through communication to PSCM Strategic Team.
• Identify COPAS controllable material demands and coordinate PSCM regarding the purchase and creation of COPAS materials in SAP.
• Collaborate with Cross Dock personnel to ensure accurate receipts of materials prior to shipping offshore and provide proper documentation to operations personnel.
• Support data integrity though minimizing free text ordering and alignment with data mastering team.
• Identify HSSE issues related to materials & services and explore mitigating resolutions.
• Participate in all Client programs at the Preservation and Maintenance Facility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working in a emphasized safety oriented environment
Minimum of five years Procurement experience – must include Oil Industry related procurement experience
Knowledge and understanding of materials management & procurement processes an computer systems (Backbone, SAP, SRM, Maximo strongly preferred)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with materials suppliers & vendors
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service while supporting all programs to reduce cost of goods
Proven creative, strategic and commercial capabilities
Strong track record of delivery using key performance indicators (KPIs)
Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley requirements
