The Company:
Our Client is a Global operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
• Manage the Contracting & Procurement interface with Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants and Company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Contribute to the execution of the Company Contract and procurement process where required.
• Co-ordinate activities to ensure Contracts and Purchases are delivered to meet required schedules.
• Ensure Company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual or commercial risk.
• Ensure utilisation of Company global agreements where necessary.
• Establishing local Supplier and Call-Off Agreements where necessary

• Provide direction and ensure high standards in Contracts & Procurement work and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Company procurement rules.
• Establish the development of an Indirect Contracts and Purchasing Bidders List in conjunction stakeholders.
• Provide due diligence on proposed Suppliers.
• Monitor the preparation, issue, clarifications, evaluation and negotiation of all tenders via the CMS system where applicable.
• Refer key Contractual qualification of terms and conditions to Company Legal representatives.
• Contribute to contractual discussions when requested
• Ensure compliance to the recommendation for award (RFA) process for all Contracts and Purchase Orders
• Award Purchase Orders in Company SAP system
• Ensure distribution of Purchase Orders as required
• Management and distribution of Variation Orders.
• Issue Reporting Contract and Procurement activities.
• Participate in COMPANY Procurement community activities.
• Ensure procurement is undertaken in accordance with Company procedures (C&P procedures, HSE etc) and industry good practice.
• Ensure value for money is derived from procurement activity.
• Provide assistance with improvements to the Tendering process where possible

• Manage Contracts & Procurement activity in accordance with Company Delegation of Authority. (DOA)

• Provide contract / procurement strategy, supply market intelligence, contracting risk and market rates / costs for Indirect Contracting and Purchasing.
• Identify areas to lower costs and / or enhance value to the Indirect spend for Contracts and Procurement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preference for Degree qualified in business / management or equivalent discipline. Professionally qualified e.g. CIPS.

• 10 + years experience of Indirect Contracting & Purchasing
• Contracting and Procurement of ,but not limited to , IT and IS Services and Equipment, HR Services, Sub-Surface Studies.
• Provided Contract and Procurement leadership and influencing skills
• Demonstrable experience of tendering, awarding and managing Contracts and Procurement across a range of Indirect Contract and Purchasing requirements.
• Developed tender evaluation models & competent negotiator with Tenderers
• Managed internal and Contractor relationships at a senior level.
• Expert SAP user.
• Proficient in the use of RFx Contract Management systems

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of traditional and innovative procurement methodology to achieve Indirect Contacting and Purchasing objectives.
• Understand local and international supply markets.
• Understands local and international compliance requirements e.g. model forms of contract, trade laws.
• Commercially and contractually aware.

• Commercially aware with sound business acumen.
• Team player who contributes to both Contacting and Purchasing objectives and Contracts & Procurement department development.
• Engages with stakeholders to facilitate process improvement
• Challenges, and acts as a problem solver by developing business solutions.
• Excellent communication / listening skills and proactive to address business issues
• Ability to work in a focused team and at a corporate level.
• Non confrontational with ability to build and enhance internal / external relationships.
