The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide procurement support to Operations, where you'll be working on Framework (Master Services) Agreements. In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects related to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award, as well as execution, management and close-out of contracts.

Other key responsibilities include:
- Conduct prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts including master services agreement in compliance with regulations, standards and procedures
- Perform market trend investigation and benchmarking to ensure suppliers are quoting competitively and aligned to industry standards
- Coordinate on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, HSES and legal issues
- Negotiate contractor qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation
- Ensure supplier deliverables to tender/contract documents are delivered in a timely matter
- Finalise award and assist with management of contracts
- Administration of legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, litigations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:

- Engineering/Quantity Surveying qualification, Business Administration, Law or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong procurement experience, preferably from within an oil and gas operating environment
- Experience in contract formulation activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering services practice
- Experience with SAP
- Experience in developing long term strategic agreements with suppliers
- Understanding of local content requirements in the contracting process.
