The Role:
A substantial market leader in their field is seeking to recruit a Procurement Specialist on a Staff basis.

The Procurement specialist is responsible for the contracts administration of 3rd party service providers inclusive of labour.

About the role:

The position is for a procurement specialist specifically in contract administration and management of service providers contracts inclusive of labour.
Develop a supplier positioning profile to assess business risk and opportunity
Establish a deep understanding of the market for the service allocated
The development and execution of procurement strategies for a wide range of requirements and services to the business.
Determine the most appropriate style of contract for services to ensure best overall delivery
Identify new potential suppliers and create competitiveness.
Coordinate the issuing of tenders and the evaluation of returns
Manage new suppliers through the pre – qualification process in conjunction with site technical authorities.
Deal with claims mitigation and challenge cost disputes with 3rd party suppliers.
Liaise with end users to develop and review technical scope – commercial packages for competitive tender
Provide expert advise

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree level qualification or relevant experience
A substantial amount of years’ experience in procurement dealing with high value complex contracts.
Experience in managing service contracts which include dealing with NAECI agreements within construction, inclusive of mechanical, electrical and scaffolding.
Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and administrative systems.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail.
Effective communication and presentation skills
Preferably be MCIPS qualified.
Have an understanding of contract law.
