The Company:
International company, engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas reserves worldwide. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, they produce crude oil and natural gas and has interests in over 10 offshore blocks.

The Role:
- Supervise, direct and coordinate all purchasing and contracting activities for any and all material and services within the SCM department and ensure a sound performance of these activities in compliance with relevant processes and procedures, execute all performance management process
activities for direct reports
- Provide role model leadership to continuously increase the organization's capability. Demonstrates visible leadership within SCM and the entire organization. Fosters teamwork and effective communication. Mentors, coaches, and provides feedback to direct reports routinely for continuous
improvement, increased performance and flexible, efficient and effective functioning of Procurement. Schedules and conducts appraisal sessions, develops employee skills, and encourages career enrichment to better meet the goals of the individual, department and the company.
- Promote the procurement function internally and convince end-users of the added value of Supply Chain Management.
- Negotiate, initiate and administer contracts in order to provide company with third party services for any and all of its operations including, but not limited to, production, development, drilling, office, etc. in close co-operation with the Legal Department.
- Provide efficient and cost effective procurement services in order to provide company with equipment and materials for any and all of its operations including, but not limited to, production, development, drilling, office, etc.
- Ensure that all relevant procurement processes and procedures are maintained up to date and are followed and adhered to.
- To replace the Manager Supply Chain Management in his absence.
- Familiar with related logistical matters (i.e. aviation and marine)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the petro-chemical or oil industry.
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good commercial skills and a good understanding of commercial and legal terms and conditions.
- Personality: flexible, setting priorities, self-starter, pro-active, willing to work multi-functional, team player and good communication skills.
