The Company:
Our Client is engaged in front end studies, modifications to existing platforms operations and maintenance contracts, field decommissioning and removal. The company has some 2,200 employees. Field development with new platforms covering all engineering disciplines. Procurement, material administration and project management.
The Role:
To lead the Project Team in the delivery of Procurement and Contract Management services
To manage the full range of Supply Management services including tendering, negotiation, purchase order placement, contract management, materials control, inventory management, preservation, storage and handover
To ensure purchase of all equipment and services align with Company Corporate Procedures
To provide expert leadership and guidance to other members of the Project Supply Management Team
To develop the Procurement strategy
To determine supplier capabilities and manage supplier relationship management plans
To liaise with our Client to ensure that there is a thorough and comprehensive understanding of our Client's need in relation to equipment delivery
To liaise with company planner to ensure that inputs to the plan are accurate and appropriate
To ensure that the resource and scope are matched and transparent
To ensure that the Project Manager is aware of any significant issues with respect to budgets, delivery or business impact
Ensuring that any changes to Contract requirements by our Client are manageable and do not compromise the required thoroughness of preparation
To ensure that appropriate communication is maintained across the Supply Management team, the project team and our Client
Managing the optimum level of resource is a key challenge and will reflect a balance of appropriate need and fiscal provision
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Business Degree
CIPS or RICS or Business Equivalent
Numerate and literate
Practicing member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or RICS
Detailed knowledge and experience covering the complete procurement and contract management life cycle
Demonstrable experience in Oil & Gas Procurement and Contracts project environment essential, in the oil and gas industry
Demonstrable management experience preferably with an Operator or main contractor
Administering a purchased commitment of £100K to £5 million Plus
Negotiating at all levels
Interfacing with Project Management, Engineering, Accounts, QA/QC, Document Control, Construction, Legal and client representatives
