For its Auto Exterior Division, our client would like to hire a Product Line Engineer - Expert Bumpers who will work in their International R&D center in France.

The Role:
Mission :
• Manages the technical content of acquisition phase.
• Provide support in technical choices during development (as part of EPM “extended” team )
• Participate to Product Lines deployments and consolidation (via networks and developments)
• Lead allocated firefighting missions in case of crisis

Activities :

EXPERTISE PHASE : expertise phase, acquisition phase
• Manage OEM & internal technical interfaces
• Collect and analyse Customer Needs
• Define technical assumptions based on POAE standards and product challenges to be competitive
• Obtain & coordinate technical inputs from the “metiers” (expertise fields)
• Attend to the milestones and argue the technical choices.
• Provide to AVP teams the product inputs : BOM
• Built up technical file summarizing product assumptions (OEM inputs, diversity, definition, tool options, logistic, process, quality, planning, patents, benchmark and innovations)
• Make the risk analyse with Quality department and participate to the risk action plan.
• Present internally and with the OEM the Technical file.

DEVELOPMENT: part of the EPM extended team.
• Bring technical support to EPM regarding technical choices and issues analyse.
• Follow his Optimap procedure perimeter
• At J1 milestone, transfer project data and background to the nominated project team.
• Participate and validate product design while Design Reviews and Quad Reviews
• Participate to Isostatism definition and geometric engagement.
• Participate to Validation plan elaboration.
• Participate to Geometric analysis (prototype and production).
• Participate to Validation analysis (prototype and production).
• Participate to risk analysis.
• Participate to trials and tuning phases.
• At the end of the project participate to lessons learned built up.
• Fire fighting: Considering that PLE involving what done previously according to optimap, in case of complex and unexpected product issues, once a task force is requested by the project, PLE may have to lead or participate the problem solving process according to timing and means allocated by the project.

• Participate to project follow up during production phase: technical support, productivity, optimisation and capitalization.

• Interface with innovation to define product specification to perform
• at the time to deploy, lead expertise the OEM
• During development support product maturation and extract product design standards
Involved in product networks have to built up product guide lines to be considered for next projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 3/5 years of significant experience in project management, plastic injection
• Minimum 5 years work experience in plastics processing on parts and on R & D projects as a designer
• Fluent in English
