The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
Key responsibilities include:

•Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures

•Management of production chemistry issues, in the design phase including hydrates, scale, corrosion, wax, MEG regeneration plant, and associated process.

•Development and management of Chemical Selection and the Qualification Plan during EPC phase and its update during the operations phase

•Highlighting the risks associated with the critical chemical interfaces and equipment and the development of mitigation plans.

•Developing and managing the overall offshore production system chemical selection and testing program. This will include well, subsea and topside chemicals.

•Reviewing the EPC package designs to assess adequacy of chemical supply and monitoring facilities, highlighting any short falls

•Liaising closely with external analytical labs and establishing sampling and analysis programs

•Working closely with and managing, if required internal and external interfaces for MEG chemistry issues with vendors, research institutes and other operators.


Prior to startup you will use your experience to provide technical and operational input during Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning. In addition, you will be part of the development of key operations systems and processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering

•Extensive experience in production chemistry within the petroleum industry.

•A wide ranging working knowledge of production chemistry in Gas Condensate, Liquid Hydrocarbon and Gas Processing/Operations is required

•Experience with MEG Regeneration Plants

•Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and deliver results through others

•Well-developed interpersonal relationship and communications skills are paramount for success. Inter-cultural awareness is a requirement.
