The Role:
Operations Coach are required to guide, direct as well as develop teams of supervisors and operations technicians in the safe operation and maintenance of installations processes and equipment to attain safety, environmental, production and cost targets. Prioritize, plan and co-ordinate operational activities such that all tasks are completed with minimum disruption to installations safety systems and production. The incumbent needs to be able to create an atmosphere in which the teams are focused and responsible for their own activities within fixed boundaries. It is expected that the teams plan and execute their own work and measure their own performance, such that they can demonstrate their improving performance.The incumbent will be required to coach and guide the teams through a continual improvement process focusing on Operational Excellence and performance through HS&E. Assist OIM in the Delivery of key activities – Safe Production, ORIP, WRFM, MIE, OI, MOC, Site ownership, risk assessments etc.

Accountabilities:
▪ Responsible for coaching the operation and optimisation of Oil, Gas, and Utilities Processes in line with Company Strategy, Standards and the Installations Safety Case. Responsible for the coaching required for delivering Production targets safely and effectively.
▪ Assist in control of expenditure within the Operations budgets.
▪ Responsible for ensuring the development of the incumbent teams, to focus on maximising the efficiency and uptime of the Installations facilities.
▪ Guide and support to ensure all Safety Critical Equipment within the Operations sphere is operated within the design envelope and maintained in a manner that meets the performance standards.
▪ Non-compliances are to be recorded and rectified as stated in Platform Performance and OE standards.
▪ Support the Identification of the Root Cause for all unplanned deferment and implement remedial action.
▪ Ensure the team competence profiles are maintained and enhanced. Create team competence development plans to ensure continual improvement and effective management of change.
▪ Contribute towards the coordination of the ISSOW system.
▪ Coach team members to be successful in their career development and train and mentor new employees and trainees to promote a healthy staff turnover within the team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Formal qualification in engineering or a related discipline preferred but not essential.
Must have a thorough knowledge of Production Operations procedures and standards.
Have broad experience in offshore operations.
Have a complete suite of OIM stand in competencies
Have a sound knowledge of integrity assurance processes.
Experience with metering, programming and optimisation tools.
Be Fully conversant with ISSOW and Isolation Management systems. Be flexible and receptive to change and be able to communicate and mobilise a team through a change process
Have the ability to communicate company principles and behavioural culture to operations personnel.
The ability to influence the workforce in the current climate, with skills and behaviours to achieve corporate and operating targets within The Company

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The ability to develop effective relationships with a number of teams in order to deliver results. This involves building extremely strong interfaces with both maintenance and production operation teams
The ability to demonstrate Health, Safety and Environmental leadership and pass on that knowledge to the incumbent teams.
The ability to demonstrate, the leadership and continuous improvement of teams, both in the flawless execution of production operations and the integrity and maintenance of platform systems.
The coaching and developing of the operations technicians and supervision will be considered to be a large part of the position.
Promote and contribute to offshore operational input for onshore support and engineering activities through effective communication and integration, including office visits as required. Respond to challenges to your coaching methods and decisions and direction with mature and open discussion.
