The Company:
Our client is a key supplier to the nuclear and UK defence industry offering defence electronics systems to both the MOD and to major prime contractors and also directly to international military and commercial customers.

As a result of continued growth they are currently looking to recruit a Production Engineer to be based at their offices in the Dorset area.

The Role:
Our client is involved in the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of electro-mechanical Nuclear Control Systems and radiation monitoring equipment for the defence and civil nuclear sectors.

. The Production Engineer will create and maintain manufacturing routings for all manufactured products, ensuring all times on routings are accurate and derived from the estimating documentation.
. The Production Engineer will be responsible for the documents and maintain process instructions for assembly and test operations.
. The Production Engineer will assist the planning and logistics function with the preparation of accurate estimates.
. Review Bill of Material structures to ensure the most appropriate and efficient kitting methods.
. Review Drawings and associated Technical documentation to ensure it is current and error-free before a job is launched into manufacture.

. Production Engineer will liaise with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve Materials Policy related issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be a competent user of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel, Outlook and Word. Microsoft Visio and Access would be desirable.
Previous experience in the use of an MRP system is essential. Previous experience in the use of CAD systems is desirable, but not essential.
