The Company:
Is a tier one global operator.

The Role:
The Production Engineer will provide high quality Production Engineering work in order to analyse and optimise production. The position focuses on production and injection well performance analysis, diagnosis of potential problems, and the design of remedial and intervention programmes.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Monitor and predict well behaviour, and conduct well flow simulation work to optimize production and revenue from new and existing wells.
• Anticipate the need for and plan well intervention work (together with Well Services Engineering) including preventative maintenance (e.g. scale inhibition) and data acquisition.
• Write and provide input for procedures for well intervention work for chemical treatment and data acquisition, liaising with Drilling Services where necessary.
• As required, travel offshore as required to supervise well intervention work, well tests, and maintenance to Subsea equipment, ensuring all work objectives are met safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
• Identify and co-ordinate well flow sampling with offshore operations.
• Ensure well testing, metering and allocation is carried out accurately.
• Co-ordinate completion and artifical lift design with Well Services Engineering, for new well proposals, and well workovers.
• Prepare and control appropriate annual budget expenditure.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to partners and participate in Techcoms.
• Represent company at meetings with DTI and other third parties ensuring further development of working relations.
• Provide effective support to Operations and Reservoir Engineers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Academic qualifications to BSc (or equivalent) in a related discipline. Further academics beneficial but not essential.
• Ideally have at least 5+ years operations engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
• A depth of experience in reservoir optimisation and production efficiency, preferably developed in North Sea (or similar) environment.
• The individual will be familiar with multi-disciplined working practices and operations and have proven knowledge of established policies, procedures and practices relating to offshore oil and gas industry.
• Successful candidate must be a self-starter, well organised, analytical and articulate in their approach to work but also be prepared to respond positively in a rapidly-changing business environment
• Lateral thinker, solution orientated approach to engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skill and capable of working well within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Good computer and data analysis skills
