The Company:
Natural gas and oil company engaged in the exploration, exploitation, development and production of onshore natural gas and oil properties.

The Role:
Primary Objectives:
Analyzes production data and makes recommendations for field enhancement projects. Evaluates, selects and applies standard or well defined engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

Job Functions:
Responsibilities will include identification of work over candidates, recompletion opportunities, artificial lift design and general base production surveillance.
Writes AFE proposals for production improvements and identifies opportunities to lower LOE.
Applies knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to gas and oil wells with the goal of improving production economically.
Provides input into introducing new concepts.
Recommends better work alternatives and business processes.
Exercises sound judgment in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
Provides assistance to co-workers.
Conducts well reviews with other Production Engineers and District Managers – reviews progress and results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
Participates in special projects as assigned by management to optimize production processes and production equipment by increasing efficiencies and production levels and decreasing operating expenses.
Reviews and evaluates new products working with vendors, consultants and production department.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. Working knowledge of Aries, FracPro, Nodal Analysis, Microsoft Office suite, PI/Dwights. 2-5 years’ of related operational experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred experience working with unconventional assets, i.e., tight gas sands, shales and CBM.
Demonstrated skills in the use of production engineering techniques and practices of the field. Knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
Some developed knowledge of oil and gas production.
Able to prioritize multiple projects. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Ability to work with reservoir engineering, field employees and vendors as well as other disciplines.
Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines. Strong personal computer skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Requires occasional travel to field locations, meetings and training seminars. May require availability for extended hours during peak periods.
