The Role:
Role synopsis
The Production Engineer will report to the First Delivery Team Lead. The position is responsible for the downhole and artificial lift engineering activity for new wells and managing those wells to optimize value. The successful candidate will also optimize fluid flow from the reservoir sandface through the sales meter, timely deliver and execute high quality compliant procedures, and support wells and production operations to ensure the successful delivery of plans.
Key accountabilities •Optimize producer and injector well performance by working closely with field Operators and Optimizers
•Seek and follow up on the use of new technology that has the potential to improve productivity, reduce costs, and/or enhance safety performance
•Identify opportunities and prioritize wellwork hopper
•Prepare and Implement new well optimization plans including handoff criteria
•Propose and support rate adding, rate protecting, compliance and surveillance/diagnostic well investment opportunities
•Analyze all surveillance in compliance with regulations and in support of the surveillance plan and Communicate outcomes to appropriate teams (Res Mgmt, Development, Operations)
•Ensure well data is maintained (e.g. well history, wellbore diagrams, production plots, NAGster, WETS, etc…)
•Support RE in setting production targets and updating reserve curves
•Deliver timely and accurate wellwork procedures that are in conformance to applicable L48 standards and processes and in compliance with regulations
•Deliver activity set and performance plan while demonstrating continuous improvement in assigned wellwork activities
•Facilitate learning’s from Post Well Reviews, AAR, End of Well Reviews, etc.. with input from Operations teams (including updating WETS)
•Investigate, Analyze, and understand competitor and partner performance in the BU
•Support Operations and provide operational and engineering technical support to onsite Well Site Leaders
•Participate in daily wells operation call(s) and production operations call(s)
•Manage the cost cycle through FEL, AFE, execution, supplements, and invoice resolution
•Serve as key integration point between BU Operations and BU Capital Development Teams
•Support well handover process and startup
•Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
•Complete modules and necessary training as defined by L48 Development Offer
•Foster personal development by making regular wellsite visits for execution of wells procedures and production operations activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education
•BS in Petroleum or other Engineering disciplines

Essential experience and job requirements
•Minimum of 3- 5 years Production Engineering experience for oil and gas wells
•A strong track record as a Production Engineer including expertise in artificial lift
•Design and planning skills, personal commitment and proactive approach to HSSE, with some coaching and mentoring,
•Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, and network building, demonstrated by an ability to work across teams.
•Skilled in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
