The Role:
This job specification details the requirements for the role of Production Engineer, reporting directly to the Operations Support Manager and to other personnel as required, depending upon assignment which can be both National and International.

The role’s primary purpose is to support the Terminal O&M team, in delivering safe operations, compliance with legislation and delivery of best practice.
The role will be based in Aberdeen and will require frequent site visits and interaction with site production staff.

In line with business, client and legislative requirements to provide on-site operational support to the Terminal operations team.

As required, to lead and manage assigned personnel with operational responsibilities in their implementation of the above objetive.

 Liaise with the engineering function for the specification, planning and delivery of projects and modifications on the facility. Provide the site team all necessary information (tie-in points, method statements, risk assessments, requirements for site resources etc.), to allow safe and successful project delivery.
 Drive the delivery of projects and modifications agreed shutdown windows
 Provide assistance to the site based Field Technologist in the development of procedures in relation to non-routine plant evolutions.
 Develop plant optimisation tools to improve the efficiency and availability of the plant. Work with site Operations staff to identify efficiency improvements and lead subsequent improvement processes.
 Work with ICT to develop and deliver electronic tools, applications and software packages in support of site operations.
 Lead the resolution of production related plant problems.
 Assist site Operations to develop long term asset plans (annual and 5 yearly) including the interfaces with Engineering and Projects, as well as third parties. Where appropriate liaise with upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure plans are developed that optimise plant availability and minimise disruption to St Fergus and upstream and downstream operations.
 Generate production reports as required by the on-site Production Superintendent.
 As directed by the on-site Production Superintendent report on failures to meet production targets and identifies how recurrence can be avoided.
 Liaise with SHE staff to assist in the integration of safety legislation and best practices, into the site Operations Team.
 Liaise with SHE staff to action and progress the recommendations from intervention visits, safety studies and audits in support to the site Operations team.
 Liaise with Pipelines staff to plan, prepare and organise pipeline interventions – gauge pig runs, intelligent pigging, subsea interventions for tie-ins and maintenance.

 Provide operational support to project HAZIDs, HAZOPs and risk assessments.
 Provide input into the development of the sites operating budget.
