The Role:
Within the Production Excellence organization in the Capability team there will be function fully dedicated on the development and application of these courses. The incumbent will be the ambassador for all aspects of Operations Readiness, e.g. Operations Readiness Management, Flawless Project Delivery, Commissioning & Start-Up and Asset Owner Readiness as covered by PS-14 and associated guides. The incumbent will have a leading role in the promotion of the community of practice and knowledge and experience transfer into the rest of RDS.

The incumbent will be part of the Capability team which is an important support role in the global Production Excellence organization. This team manages the delivery of integrated multi disciplinary Production Excellence services to all Stakeholders projects and running assets.

The Production Excellence Training Coordinator position is central in this process. Assigned as lead for development of OR, CSU and FPD course and the delivery, maintenance and development of learning events, in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts The Learning Advisor delivers these assigned events . Learning events are delivered generally in the hubs of Kuala Lumpur, Rijswijk or Houston, but more recently also in twelve other locations globally. The Production Excellence Training Coordinator position thus has to account for a certain amount of global travel.
The successful applicant will have had extensive Operational, Project Design & delivery experience, Knowledge of the current Operations Readiness Process, e.g. Project Standard 14 and associated guides will be evident when he leads the curriculum that has been assigned, and delivered in front of peers.

Position description - Purpose
Purpose The Production Excellence Training Coordinator has overall responsibility for Operations Readiness capability building that enable top-quartile business results in the global project portfolio and processes. They have ownership of course and program design, and management. The Training Coordinator drives execution through personal facilitation, internal SMEs. The Training Coordinator ensures alignment with, and contribution to the global learning strategy and agenda to deliver top-quartile learning.

Development & Delivery of OR Courses
Offering of Top Quality Operations Readiness Courses, which means:
Applies global portfolio offerings and executes portfolio strategy
Applies the full spectrum of learning methods (blended, coaching/mentoring, classroom, networks)
Actively participate on respective business/function Learning Leadership Team (typically EC-3 and EC-2)
Responsible for spent on delivery of learning within their business/function
Manage the C&P interface where appropriate and drives the vendor upgrade within the portfolio
Works with the other global portfolio owners to build integrated learning experiences and to ensure consistency and appropriate level of overlap between the courses in the SPA portfolio
Manages continuous curriculum refresh in close co-operation with EC-3 Subject Matter Experts.

Delivering and maintaining the Operations Readiness learning events together with affiliated staff in the organizations at different locations in the world. Target group: GPES members, Operations, CSU and FPD staff contributing to projects form a variety of disciplines in SG ranging from 4 to 1.

Manage the Design & Development of the 5 day f2f Operations Readiness Implementation Course to meet theStandards within the Budget

- Coach/support all SME in the Design & Development of their specific Modules, both Virtual & f2f

Manage the Delivery of the Pilot Course
Support/coach SME in the Development, & potentially the Delivery of, Operations Readiness Workshops for the Project & Operations Readiness Communities

Change Management: High
- Support change in behaviour to ensure that production critical control points are being recognised in the OR process to ensure production integrity meets FID commitments.

Complexity Longer Term
- Conduct multidisciplinary after Action Review & improve Operations Readiness Implementation Course as required
- Develop a comprehensive Terms of Reference for a Practitioners Commissioning & Start-Up Course agreed with all Key Stakeholders [potentially also a 5 dayf2f Course with the standard 10 week Virtual Learning Component]
- Coach/support all SME in the Design & Development of their specific Modules, both Virtual & f2f
- Manage the Design & Development Process & final Course
- Manage the Delivery of the Pilot CSU Course planned
- Review & Upgrade the current Flawless Project Deliver Course to meet SPA Standards, following same process used for OR & CSU Courses
- Manage & contribute to the Delivery of Operations Readiness Courses
- Potentially Deliver specific Operations Readiness Modules in the SPA Courses

Special Challenges Display authority in all phases of the OR, CSU and FPD project delivery process and to feed the discussions with personal experiences.
Interject Learning event with own experience in both Upstream and/or Downstream project experience.
Role model the adherence to the company standards as laid down in PS 14 and associated procedures and standards thereby having to overcome deep rooted, outdated, often localised, business specific approaches and change the mindsets
Manage the input of the SME to ensure the courses are up-to-date despite major changes
Responding to specific requests from participants from a variety of backgrounds
Seeking opportunities to integrate the Learning events with other pentagon activities.

Position description - Additional comments The Production Excellence Training Coordinator will from time to time be expected to take part in Project Assurance Reviews or OR reviews. The learning from these reviews form a critical input into the Learning events, as they steer the hot-spot, which stand in the way of Top Quartile project delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong technical professional with solid experience working in OR, Commissioning & Start-Up or Flawless Project Delivery management roles and knowledge of or experience in the Opportunity Realization Process.

Passion for staff development and transfer of knowledge and experience.
Proven excellent communication, teaching, coaching and facilitating capabilities
Thorough understanding of at least one of the businesses (EP, GP, DS) although X-business exposure and experience would be preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, strong team player, humility to accept expert and participants advice.
Interest and confidence to work in an online environment.
Experience in a blended learning environment is advantageous.
