The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
As the Production Lead, you will be the focal point of coordination for all Operations shift activities including safe, efficient and maximized oil production, Work Management administration and execution, and prioritizing planned and unplanned maintenance.

Functions and accountabilities of the Production Lead include:

Hands on supervision of all shift activities to safely maximize oil production and maintain utility services throughout the platform.
Review and implement best practices in process and utility system operations. Including Operator Care and Alarm Management.
Daily interaction with Maintenance Supervisor/Foreman to prioritize/execute unplanned maintenance activities ensuring the completion response meets the priority set.
Daily interaction with Construction Group to ensure all present and future activities are communicated, planned and risks discussed.
Routinely investigate and provide practical solutions to process disruptions or safety concerns.
Provide on the job training and mentoring for Operations Technicians as required.
Develop and perform competency assessments of Operations Technicians as required.
Coordination of control of work activities on a shift basis. Including the responsibility to ensure consistent application of Work Management Sytems - ePTW
Coordinate the preparation required for planned maintenance through control of work. This includes setting of priorities based on the platform focus.
Provide onsite coordination of all high-risk activity site preparations and SIMOP activities. Ensure all work is completely safely while optimizing production opportunities
Monitor daily operating conditions to ensure oil production and chemical management are optimized.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Security, Health and Environment policies thus ensuring safe, efficient operations.
Person in charge of operations in the case of emergency until relieved by the Production Supervisor.
Perform duties of Production Supervisor when required.
Relieve CCR Operators as required for breaks, absences, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years process operations experience, of which 5 would have been in a supervisory role
Able to understand and make decision relating to shift maintenance activities.
Able to utilize computerized maintenance management system (SAP)
Strong formal / informal spoken and written communication skills.
Competent to execute the Emergency Reponse duties assigned to this role.
Able to provide on the job training to operations Technicians and assess competencies.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Offshore experience preferred
