The Company:
Our Client are a well established oil & gas fabrication company based just outside of Bergen. They specialize in all aspects of welding and fabrication for the offshore, subsea and mechanical engineering sectors.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the chief executive of the business you will be responsible for the planning, document control & management of multiple fabrication projects at any one given time.

You will be responsible for 30-40 welders & platers across the workshop and rig yard ensuring every employee works to strict health & safety practices at all times.

You will be required to plan the workload, manage the resources, allocate man hours to each specific fabrication project ensuring all of the work is completed within the timescales specified to the client.

The successful candidate will either relocate to Norway or work a 3 weeks on & 3 weeks off rotation.

The position is a temporary contact that will become a permanent position for the right candidate after a satisfactory 3 month probationary period.

The ideal candidate will have vast experience in;

- Pre Fabrication of Pipe Spools
- Fabrication of subsea structures
- Onshore & Offshore Fabrication
- Experience working in both Ship/Rig Yards and workshops
- Mobilisation/Demobilisation of Ships
- Sea Fastenings

Additional Responsibilities;

- The interpretation of fabrication drawings weld procedure documentation and weld inspection procedures
- Ensure that the welding consumables are in accordance with the welding procedures have been stored correctly and are maintained as required during fabrication.
- Carry out the welding operation in accordance with the correct weld procedure and current work instructions.
- Liaise with inspectors as required
- Be responsible for the accuracy and content of their own work
- Quality safety health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety
- Be responsible for general good house keeping and safe working practices in the workshop and on facility.

All staff employed by the company work to NORSOK standards and so knowledge of NORSOK would be an advantage.
