The Role:
• Within the area of responsibility, supervise the safety training and on the job training
• Follow up that “Work Permits” and “Safe Job Analyses” are thoroughly used in accordance with our Client's procedures and instructions
• Ensure that production related reports are completed in accordance with the MF Management System
• If necessary, assist with the preparation of other reports as required in accordance with the MF Management System
• Carrying out safe and optimum operation of FPSO Processing and Utility Facilities by monitoring and controlling processing and Utility equipment, Protective Systems (Fire & Gas and ESD) and all support systems
• Initiate and coordinate response instructions during emergency situations
• Responsible for taking actions to prevent or rectify abnormal plant and production situations, to take whatever action is necessary to achieve this but at all times to minimize any risk of harm to personnel, the environment or asset damage
• Monitoring routine discharges such as; flare gas rates and volumes, and produced water, to ensure regulatory limits are not exceeded
• Maintain daily logbook containing daily operating details. Ensure that all logs are maintained to the required standards
• Analysing production data and process behaviour to ensure the early identification of trends and problems
• Monitor and direct Process Operators to ensure continuity of operations and timely implementation of production routines
• Assist with planning and scheduling of routine shutdown and shutdown maintenance
• Responsible for identification of plant, equipment, and process isolations within the bounds of the Work Permit System and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Careful monitoring and supervision of the Work Permit System. Responsible for the administration of the Work Permit System
• Must be fully aware of all ongoing work on the FPSO process and utility systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Significant offshore Production including 1 year as a Process Operator
• Conversant with quality management principles
• Conversant with environmental management principles
• Proficient in safety management principles
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
• VHF certificate
• Computer literate
• Good working knowledge of general administration duties
• Safety Training Courses and Medical Certificate in accordance with the requirements stipulated for regular crew by the continental shelf authority for the current operating area
• Training as per the Training Matrix
