The Role:
The production engineer may be responsible for but not limited to:
• Day to day responsibilities include well surveillance, well integrity, loss verification, performance monitoring and modeling
• Procedural compliance with relevant procedures and processes
• Produce comprehensive justifications to support projects
• Driving production optimisation projects, influencing and motivating a multi disciplined team to successful completion of projects from justification to implementation.
• Monitor & interpret existing well production
• Identify and pursue optimisation opportunities; this can include work related to downhole configuration optimisation, artificial lift selection and surface equipment optimisation
• Work closely with field staff supporting their day-to-day operations as well as being the onshore focal point for well related issues requiring technical support
• Prepare justifications for operating capital and significant expense production projects
• Assess innovative optimisation opportunities and new technologies for implementation
• Work closely with Facilities group to model and optimise existing facilities
• Generate, review and maintain well target forecasts

*Onshore role with occasional visits offshore required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Must have a strong commitment to safety and promoting safe work practices
• Competent at delivering projects
• Strong computer skills and competency with support software such as OFM, PROSPER, WellView
• Experience in field operations including well intervention work
• Gas well deliquification production experience
