Our Client:
Based in Brisbane, Our client is an Australian Oil and Gas leader in exploring and producing natural gas. Their focus on developing domestic gas for both the domestic and international market in combination of their highest standards for valuing their employees has led them to be a nationally recognised company.

The Opportunity:
On behalf of our renowned market leading client we are seeking an experienced Production Performance Analyst, to assist our client in generating and delivering business performance information and reports on an enticing 6 month contract. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong analytical skill set with previous experience in reading gas processing systems in order to identify the key influencing factors regarding production levels. This is an opportunity to work within an Upstream Production System and provide support to the Production Systems Manager within a renowned Oil and Gas company.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collate timely and accurate performance data to generate and deliver business performance information and reports.
  • Assist with report generation to provide accurate and timely production operations information and analysis.
  • Analyse the underlying operational performance that drives and influences the production volumes delivered.
  • Regularly review performance reporting requirements to identify opportunities for improvement (e.g. data presentation, automated analyses) and to minimise the requirement for post-report processing.
  • Assist where required in the maintenance of data sets required for reporting, including: data capture; quality check and correction; and manipulation of data.
  • Daily analysis of production variance against IPSC, Production Forecast and Budget.
  • Ensure the production network is reviewed as a system rather than discrete chokes.
  • Effectively scheduling key Production meetings.
  • Data provision (e.g. production forecasts, volumes and deferments) to other teams.

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in utilising gas processing systems.
  • Minimum 3 years with similar experience in a similar role.
  • Essential experience working within a production team.
  • Super user of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of report generation and analysis.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous exposure to upstream operations.
