Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

This role is responsible for the long term forecasting of material requirements in line with the overall productions plan, the maintenance of the shorter term requirements in the Materials planning system (SAP) and the processing of the car orders from Sales taking into account any builds restrictions. This role is responsible for negotiating and coordinating with the relevant technologies/functions to ensure that a resolution is achieved and that continuity of productions is protected when there is a request to accept orders above the agreed restrictions.
The role is responsible for monitoring on a daily and weekly basis the orders as they progress through the different technologies and publishing productions achievement against the plan.
The role is responsible for the prioritisation of the cars for Sales to ensure that productions achieve the company passed to sales plan and producing the relevant KPI’s which are issued both internally and externally to the Group.

Scope of the Role

Planning and Forecasting

- Maintain the long term forecast in SAP.
- Maintain and adjust the short term build plan.
- Produce weekly reports to ensure forecasts are in line with the latest production volumes.
- Create and maintain Planning BOM’s in SAP.
- Submitting monthly Production Programmes and yearly budgets.
- Produce detailed build plans for all relevant technologies.

Order Control & Sequencing

- Processing sales orders through relevant systems.
- Analysing orders received from Sales & Marketing.
- Setting the sequence for each technology.
- Set the fixed sequence for assembly.
- Receiving order change requests, negotiate with relevant technologies and Logistics to decide if the changes can be made.

Reporting/Passed to Sales/Ageing Car Profile

- Provide forecast for Production.
- Provide latest planned CP8 dates to Sales and Marketing.
- Monitor the actual completed cars against the plan and produce relevant customer KPI’s.
- Support regular cross functional sales meetings.
- Monitor production achievement against the plan.
- Produce ad hoc FIS reports upon request.
- Produce bespoke reports upon request to various departments.

Pre Series Planning

- Support the Project teams at Project reviews.
- To coordinate with production, quality and project teams to produce day by day pre-series plans.
- To provide support to enable production of project launch plans and Market Entry plans.

Process Support/Development

- Responsible for printing manifests/pick slips for relevant technologies upon request
- Conduct monthly 5s Audits for all requested areas.
- Involved in the Logistics Improvement Process.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s level A-C or equivalent qualifications including Mathematics and English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- PP Module experience in SAP.
- Previous logistics experience essential.
- Production control – monitoring and reporting.
- A3 problem solving experience.
- Production planning process and systems knowledge.
- Training of other Team members.
- Interpersonal skills.
