The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
To ensure the vehicle plan delivers customer orders to dealers in a timely fashion and that each car is accurately specified for production and supply base to secure parts supply.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
• Ensure customer orders are allocated to vehicle ‘slots’ in the production schedule in order to achieve customer delivery dates, assure parts supply and ensure production constraints are not broken.
• Ensure production volumes are achieved on a daily basis and corrective planning actions are taken when required to retain the validity of the schedule.
• Ensure vehicle sequence accurately reflects in sequence parts supply ordering system.
• Manage the sales order amendment process to ensure changes are managed without impact on production or existing supplier deliveries.
• Manage model year run out and run in planning.
• Liaise with Launch Team for the scheduling of Product Development cars.

Key Performance Indicators
• Sales order amendments: volume of changes accepted.
• Build to sequence: Production Scheduler’s impact on the sequence of cars built.
• Premium freight costs: Production Scheduler’s impact on supply base; no emergency deliveries of parts due to Production Scheduler errors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in vehicle or production planning, ideally in the automotive industry (production).
• An awareness of Production Systems/Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, together with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, taking resourceful action during periods of considerable pressure.
• Computer Literate essential.
• Degree or Higher diploma qualified or equivalent preferable.
