The Role:
Principle Function:
Supervise and control daily operations, training activities and reporting of fluid production, process and injection gas compression and laboratory facilities

Essential Job Functions:
• Directs and controls the daily activities of the Exploitation Department to meet the all production and gas handling targets and specifications.
• Reviews the daily operation and maintenance problems and approves corrective action via CMMS.
• Controls the Permit to Work System
• Reviews equipment utilization to determine efficiency and controls any necessary changes.
• Controls the budgets for Exploitation and makes recommendations for changes to the budget.

• Provides technical input into new projects/plant improvements.
• Manages personnel problems according to association policies.
• Acts as incident controller in the CPF in the event of a site emergency.
• Reviews production/test/maintenance data to ensure accurate reporting of same to upper management and to note variances from norms.
• Manages the Preparation of Production Reports which are issued to all SH, AAC and partners.
• Co-ordinates with Chef de Department Technique, Chef de Department Logistics, Engineer de Security and Chef de Service Administration General to ensure maximum efficiency of operations and maintenance activities.
• Co-ordinates vocational and safety training for operations staff.
• Recommends modifications to plant operations procedures to Engineering support staff and Directeur du Champ for review and approval.
• Ensures plant operations and maintenance activities are conducted to meet Production requirements in a safe and controlled manner.
• Reviews manpower needs for the Exploitation department. Recommends changes in staffing levels to meet changing needs of plant operations and maintenance.
• Develops activity plans and forecasts with other discipline heads to maximize efficiency of field operations.
• Ensures oil measurement/metering system is operating to the highest standard.
• Co-ordinates in field well related activity with well service groups.
• Acts as deputy for Directeur du Champ in his absence.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University educated in science or engineering or equivalent – Bachelor degree (or equivalent) or higher level qualifications

Required Experience:
• Minimum 12 years experience in a senior supervisory position in the oil/gas industries with a good understanding of oil process, water injection process, injection gas compression, LPG and laboratory facilities, including PLC/DCS
• Must have operating experience in a supervisory position.
• Must have a good understanding of modern maintenance techniques.

Additional Training
• Management training to include team building, motivation, coaching skills, leadership, negotiation and persuasion skills.

Additional experience/requirements:
• French an advantage
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
• Self-starter capable of analyzing and solving effectively problems over a wide range of topics.
