The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Key Accountabilities
HSSE
Encourages a culture of continuous HSSE performance improvement within the peer group.
Accountable for ensuring routine daily production activities on the Platform fully comply with clients- Safe working practices and guidelines including integrated safe systems of work (ISSOW).
Responsible for acting as Permit Area Authority under the ISSOW (as outlined in clients operating procedures).
Responsible for daily monitoring of field activities ensuring safe working practices and processes are being operated in line with industry and internal best practice utilising the PTW system in force on the facility.
Accountable for communicating with the Offshore Team Leader when any Safety Critical Equipment has failed to or not meet the performance standard as prescribed.
Accountable to perform key duties as a member of the Emergency Response team in support of the facility OIM and PTL for all unplanned events and emergency situations.
Contributes to the development and support of operational related emergency response training scenarios.
Demonstrates active contribution to the production team, to achieve top quartile performance in meeting clients targets of HSSE delivery.
Accountable for first line initiation response in the event of emergencies, to isolate and/or blow-down key areas of plant as deemed necessary in the event

Production Control
Responsible for front line production direction to enable efficiency standards and hydrocarbon production targets are met safely.
Responsible for active monitoring and operation of all control room process and control systems.
Identify and respond to plant operating outside normal operating parameters and carry out the necessary remedial action to rectify. Accountable for reporting to Offshore Team Leader the discrepancies on the running plant.
Responsible for gathering and collecting data for the process and utility equipment, identify actions to be taken to minimise equipment and machinery down - time.
To assist operations team members to recover plant from any emergency shutdown or unplanned event to minimise loss of production in support of the facilities operating procedures.
Complete any pre-start up/operating checks, ensuring all interdependent or ancillary systems are available.
Responsible for having a good knowledge of all works being carried out on the facility under the control of the PTW System as well as other operational field tasks.
Accountable for communication as required with standby and supply vessels, entering or exiting the platform 500 metre zone as well as communicating with all personnel working the facility in marine and logistics operations.
Maintains an awareness of all activities being carried out of the installation, which may have an impact on the normal and safe operation of plant, including awareness of all active permits to the work issued and accepted.
Supports the Offshore Team Leader seek out gaps in production activities, contributing to and delivering production improvements as an operations team member.
Responsible for the measurement of production rates for the Platform and proactively react to potential deviations from forecasted production rates informing the Offshore Team Leader accordingly.
Supports any investigation and Root Cause Analysis of all unplanned production outages, understanding the issues to avoid recurrences.
Liaise with onshore Operations respective ICE (Integrated Collaborative Environment) teams in optimising production delivery through daily offshore/onshore meetings.
Manages on behalf of the Offshore Team Leader the DCS/PSIC/Locked valve register override registers.
Complies with the clients– Guideline on SIRP (Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant)

Financials
Ensures Production Teams requests for resources are within set budgetary limits and highlights any potential deviation to the Offshore Team Leader.
Contributes to active system and cost ownership within his/her respective peer group in the operations team.
Processes and systems
Compiles all relevant records, log books etc in order to generate required reports.
Monitors and reports output from process facilities, maximise volumes, delivering performance excellence ensuring liquid export quality meets or exceeds required specification.
Responsible for managing the respective chemical and production ancillary inventories in support of the running of efficient operations.
People and Organisation
Demonstrates an active performance mindset to others within the production teams to focus behaviours on safe working and optimising production levels against key targets under the direction of the Offshore Team Leader.
Participates in and acts as mentor in training opportunities for other offshore operations staff in the Control Room Operator job requirements.
Support the development of peers to achieve their full potential and promote progression to Control Room Operator status in support of the competency assurance programme.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Adept at working in an offshore team structure.
Strong production experience in an upstream oil and gas business with emphasis on working within a control room environment.
Proficient in the application and compilation of production management processes.
Proven ability to deliver a safety critical role associated with the function.


Knowledge required:
Preferably a recognised Production Operations qualification such as Processing Operations (Hydrocarbons) Control Room Level 3.
Working Understanding of UK offshore legislation especially Production related areas.
Mandatory safety, medical regulatory regulations for travel working offshore UKCS.
Fully conversant with all forms of process engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Data Sheets and Cause & Effect charts.
Conversant with national and international codes and standards applicable to the design, construction, and operation of process plant.
