We are looking for an experienced Production Technician to join a major operator here in WA. Working Offshore on a desirable even time rotation - 14/14, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the industries leading engineering professionals, helping to deliver this exciting new oil and gas project .
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the work permit process to assure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant guidelines and requirements, including the PSSP (project specific safety plan), the SIMOPS plan, and other relevant SOPs. This position acts as facilitator for daily permit meeting, ensuring all required documentation accompanies requests for permits. You will also ensure all applications for permits with necessary supporting documentation are properly completed as required by the SimOps Plan and submitted to the Person-In-Charge or other signatory authority for approval.
This position requires an organised individual who can coordinate forward planning with Project HUC Team (construction teams, planners, and Operations) so all permit requirements are ready for the start of the days work.
Other responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Drive and coordinate the permitting process.
Tracks work permits throughout the entire process from initiation to completion and close-out.
Ensure record keeping requirements are met (electronic and hard-copies).
Maintain a daily electronic permit log listing types of permits issued, location, scope of work, number of men, etc. that can be issued to Contractors, Operations, and Projects personnel.
Monitor / audit the Lock Out/Tag Out system in relation to issued Work Permits.
Coordinate forward planning with Project HUC Team so all permit requirements can be obtained in a timely fashion.
Mentor National Operations personnel on standards of acceptable/safe work areas in relation to the Permit to Work Process.
Emphasis on what Operations expectations are from the Contractor when working in a live Facility.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have the ability to maintain high energy levels and a positive attitude.
8+ Years actual Oil & Gas Major Capital Project permit coordination experience or equivalent operating experience.
