Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company with a global presence playing a key role in supplying energy to our region.They are one of the worlds leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Role:
My Operator Client has a current requirement for Production Technicians to perform a 6 month contract on a 2 / 2 week rotation to their Karratha site. This position reports to the Production Maintenance Coordinator / Operations Team Leader / Maintenance Team Leader, depending on the asset and operations structure.

Position Responsibilities

This position works within a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for the safe, reliable optimised operation and maintenance of the production assets.

• Compliance to all legislative and regulatory requirements as defined in asset Safety Case’s, HSEQ Standards including PSM and the GSRs
• Responsible for responding to and controlling emergency situations.

• Responsible for planned shutdowns - participate in shutdown planning, execution and reporting.
• Responsible for providing operations support to asset and project activities as required, including office rotations .

• Responsible for application of defined roles within Integrated Safe System of Work
• Responsible for working within the requirements of Ensure Safe Production (ESP)
• Responsible for following procedures and implementing change where applicable.

• Responsible for production optimisation, reporting and testing.
• Responsible for learning and development - maintain competency in both Licence to Operate (LTO) and role requirements

• Responsible for operating and monitoring process systems and equipment associated with oil and gas processing, utilities and safety systems.
• Responsible for undertaking maintenance activities in both planning and execution. Also recording and reporting in maintenance systems e.g. SAP PM.
• Responsible for marine/hull and off take operations (in connected / disconnected mode) and maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Entry level post applicable traineeship or apprenticeship. Accredited Operator competency cert II or equivalent.
• Trade or Tertiary background in the Instrument / Electrical, Mechanical Fitting, Marine or related field.
• PMA Cert III and relevant knowledge/experience and skill in Oil & Gas Production.
• Marine Roles (Master / Engineer) for FPSO Operation skills.
• Demonstrated Plant Ops and Maintenance competencies (Certificate IV in Process Plant Operation).
• Full competency in Utilities, Process, CCR, Issuing Authority Representative,
• For FPSO – Tanker competent / endorsement or recognised equivalent
• Skilled in SAP PM maintenance modules and business processes
• Expert in panel operations and knowledge of facility/asset/plant – process integrity and safety requirements
