The Company:
Our client is a global, pioneering operator with continued growth in Australia developing large gas resources and maintaining a substantial exploration portfolio. The Role:
*Support the design and implementation of the Competency Assurance plan for the project with specific focus on Production Operations technicians.
*Develop and/or review standard Production Operations specific learning resources including desired performance criteria and assessment requirements.
*Be involved in the development of Production Operations delivery methodology so as to ensure all Production Operations Technicians are competent prior to commissioning and start-up of the Prelude Facility.
*Train and assess Production Operations Technicians in all facets of production operation including steady state and abnormal conditions.
*Identify training needs and learning opportunities using previous experience /gap analysis tools and implement an individual training plan to address learning gap.
*Co-ordinate schedule for training and conducting theory and practical assessments for Production Operations technicians.
*Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure the learning pathway aligns with the skills required for progression of Production Operations technicians.
*Continuous improvement maintained by updating operation and assessment resources in response to changes in operating and emergency procedures or equipment.
*Provide regular progress reviews to the Production / Maintenance Coordinator/Supervisor, and OIM, highlighting potential show stoppers/solutions for completion of required competence assessments.
*Ensure compliance with Australian Government regulations and standards including those set by AQF / NQC qualifications and competence assurance.
*Lead the internal validation of the Prelude assessment process to ensure high integrity of workplace assessment.
*Lead by example in the field of HSSE and Social Performance, show integrity and approachability in all facets of the Instructor and Assessor role.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*Significant experience in Oil and Gas or a similar Process with preference in LNG / Upstream or Utilities in an operational role, including;
o Operations Trainer
o LNG operational units and systems
o Boilers
o Steam Turbines
o Utility system to support LNG operations
o Cryogenics
o Storage and Loading
o Subsea Production Wells
o PTW (Permit to Work)

*Formal Training and Assessment certification in TAE-40110 or NVQ.D32/D33 equivalent.
*Preference for five [5] years as a Training Instructor and assessor in a process or technical field.
*Knowledge of or ability to learn relevant operations and maintenance procedures including Permit to Work.
