The Company:
Our Client is a large Automotive and Commercial Vehicle OEM, with a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering on a contract basis. These opportunities are typically based in their research and development facility located in Dunton which is the largest automotive technical centre in the United Kingdom.

The Role:
Program Controls Engineer.

A Powertrain Controls Engineer role, focusing on global Powertrain Control System Pre-Program planning, based at Ford Dunton Engineering Centre, UK.

Skills Required:
Excellent communication & organisational skills.
Experience of presenting gateway & engineering papers to Senior Leadership.
Knowledge of Ford pre-program development process.
Leadership skills, managing complex X functional Work stream to deliver commercial agreements, whilst adhering to strict program deadlines.

Skills Preferred:
Experience of Powertrain and/or Powertrain Controls Systems beneficial.

Experience Required:
To succeed in this role, candidates will have a background within an Engineering, Product Development environment.
Working knowledge of Ford Product Development GPDS methodology.

Experience Preferred:
This role requires interface with multiple functions; Core Engineering, Finance, P-train Planning, Purchase etc.
Experience in a similar cross function liaison role would be desirable.

Education Required:
Degree level qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.

Education Preferred:
Automotive, or electronics systems degree desirable.

Additional Information :
Candidates must have excellent analytical, and presentation skills (oral and written). Prior experience of leading a team advantageous.
