The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
Support the Programme Team through the management of the problem resolution process ensuring concerns are resolved in a timely manner to support new vehicle launches and on-going vehicle production.
To track and drive closure of concerns, provide reporting metrics to key meetings and assist in ensuring issues are resolved in support of a robust job#1
The role is multifunctional with an emphasis on allocating responsibility, ensuring concerns are understood and progression is monitored for robustness for all programme related concerns
To actively participate in the continual improvement of eCMS to meet business needs.
The role also supports management reporting of concern status – number of open issues, key dates for resolution, etc.
Attend the programme start up meeting(s) and act as the fact holder in coordinating the allocation, acceptance and handover of issues to the identified ‘Concern’owners.
Coordinate and manage Concern reviews with each of the programme functional areas ensuring responses and information gathered meets the criteria of the Concern progression system
Obtain feedback and drive resolution status on immediate containment fixes from previous days issues
Support the ongoing development of eCMS (electronic Change Management System), understanding customer requirements and integrating them into the business proposals.
Identify and specify improvement opportunities within eCMS, working closely with the systems team to develop, implement and test system changes.
Build relationships and contacts to ensure effective team working and levels of communication for problem resolution is achieved.
Lead daily wash-up meetings to ensure sufficient and meaningful information is available and recorded on the wash-up sheet enabling the problem owner to actively progress the issue to the resolution stage.
Supply, present and publish appropriate programme Concern status reports with back up evidence and analysis for management review at programme PSTs, Launch reviews and Gateways.
Act as the quality gate for concern progression including robust closure validation and sign off are achieved and supporting evidence recorded for all programme issues
Work with Engineering Services & Systems on the integration of an electronic releasing system with the eCMS process, ensuring the correct level of information is captured in the Concern system
Provide support to vitual builds ensuring programme content is interrogated and all concerns robustly captured.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years Automotive Engineering experience essential, either OEM or supplier
Engineering degree preferred
Broad engineering knowledge including product development, prototype build, manufacturing/production and service
Experience of change management systems beneficial
Ability to analyse complex scenarios or issues
Co-ordinate cross functional meetings
Ability to handle multiple projects and ability to present data at all levels
