The Company:
My client, a leading energy supplier is looking for a Programme Manager to join their team in London. This is offered on a contract basis for 6 months and looking for a candidate to start in March.

The Role:
• Lead a Programme centred around the delivery of outcomes that meet the Business Objectives, where design ideas and strategies deliver value as early as possible
• Understand and assess critical paths and dependencies for delivering and shipping products/ features and facilitates discussions between product, technical and commercial teams
• Perform risk management planning, identification, analysis, responses, monitoring and control, increasing the probability of positive events
• Perform program planning to establish an overall program plan, including key milestones, and drives progress to achieve program plan within time and budget constraints
• Aggregate, organize, and synthesize program information in order to communicate with extended team and management
• Evaluate existing processes and procedures. Makes recommendations and drives process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, etc.) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
• Triangulate the accountabilities between Product Management, Technical and Commercial to creating an awesome team
• Multi-million programme budgets, with accountability for forecasting and management to agreed targets
• Holistic programme scope includes technical, product and commercial aspects, with a full lifecycle end to end coverage.
• Ability to interface across different business units, with a global reach.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to programme and project management
• Working with the Head of Programmes, programmes managers, product, technical and commercial managers, demonstrating control and value delivery through the programme
• Engagement with scrum teams to assess and reporting on delivery performance.
• Close contact with other teams to ensure good understanding of other business dynamics
• Interfacing with Senior Management to ensure understanding and buy-in and active sponsorship

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Extensive experience working as a programme manager or similar consultant role
• Extensive experience in business management and/or relevant programme management functions in an at-scale e-commerce, enterprise, or mobile product company with experience.
• Some experience or an appreciation of working with a globally distributed organization is preferred
• Working experience of Evo Programme Management preferred
• Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter
• Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership
• Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation
• Step into leadership gap by assuming authority/responsibility when necessary
• Take initiative to solve underlying systematic issues that cause recurring problems across multiple product teams or organizations
