The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
The SVO Programme Timing Engineer is responsible for managing the planning and governance of the SVO business within the Programme Management landscape.

1. Lead the development of Vehicle Programme Plans (VPP) within the Pre environment liaising with key stakeholders to achieve concurrence.
2. Coordinate the SVO Escalation PST ensuring all SVO vehicle lines / stakeholders are maintaining on-time deliverable status.
3. Support the SVO business with essential process activities leading to Gateway approvals and overall VPP status.
4. Lead and support meetings such as the PSTs, Timing PATs and PCDS / Deliverables Governance.
5. Support the delivery of iPLM Process Improvement projects such as the deployment Programme Central within SVO.
6. Develop metrics and reports to provide direction and communication to the SVO business. "
Skills Required:

1. Have excellent written and verbal communication capabilities and be ready to collaborate with a broad set of stake-holders
2. Confident team player, highly enthusiastic and expect to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
3. Experience of working within Programme Management, Process or Planning functions.

Experience Required:

* Enthusiasm, drive, self motivated and able to deliver objectives with minimum supervision. -
* Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure. -
* Good leadership and influencing skills - A good level of people development and team management skill or experience. -
* Both verbal and written communication skills are important to report programme issues across all levels, and these should be combined with a confident attitude. -
* The candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. -
* A Business or Engineering degree qualification is desirable. -
* A current driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to other sites for various meetings/events. -
* Have excellent written and verbal communication capabilities and be ready to collaborate with a broad set of stake-holders (essential) -
* Confident team player, highly enthusiastic and expect to achieve goals with minimal supervision. -
* Ability to analyse data and metrics and present reports using Excel and PowerPoint. -
* Knowledge of the PCDS processes and experience of using Deliverables through i3 / Programme Central. -
Experience of using Microsoft Project is desirable but not essential."

Education Required:
Preferably a degree in an Engineering or Business related subject or HNC/ HND with significant experience.
Minimum 2 years experience of working in a similar role within the automotive or a related industry.
