The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who would like to work and gain experience within a large, reputable established company. You will be working as a Project Buyer alongside Project Managers & Engineers working on large Engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities and duties:
You will be involved in assisting and managing the tendering process
Dealing with the supplier sourcing, assessment, selection
Emphasis in managing supplier negotiations, agreeing commercial terms & implementing cost saving opportunities
You Order placement
Order expediting
Cost reduction monthly target

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Significant purchasing experience
Strong negotiation, administration, organisational and communication skills
Desire to be proactive and take on responsibility
Attention to detail, enjoys problem solving, analytical
Ability to prioritise, and work hard under pressure
Good P.C skills and working knowledge of MS office packages
Product knowledge if IT equipment workstations, servers, telecoms equipment
